I am no longer able to cut/copy a selection of data from one spreadsheet and
copy it into another. Is there a setting or something that I have some how changed that would keep me from doing this? |

Not clear what you mean when you say you cannot paste? Do you get an error
message? Does just nothing happen when you press <Ctrl<V? Have you tried to click on Edit and then select Paste? Are you trying to copy from and paste to 2 sheets in one file, or from one file to the other? If the latter, do you have both files open? -- Hth Kassie Kasselman Change xxx to hotmail "Rev. The paste icon on the toolbar is greyed out and Control V does not work. Nor
does right clicking in the cell on the other worksheet. I'm trying to copy from one file to another and both are open at the same time. Typically "Paste" is grayed out when there is nothing in the clipboard.
Are you actually getting anything copied to the clipboard? Do you have both sheets open when you try this? Or are you closing one and opening another? If so what add-ins have been installed? New software perhaps? Rev. Munchkindad wrote: Yes. It started yesterday. "Bob I" wrote: have you tried restarting the PC since this occured? Rev. Both sheets are open and I have not installed any new software since it
started acting this way. The last new software I installed was this past weekend and the paste function worked after that. If you click Edit, Office Clipboard, do you see anything get copied to it?

It shows that the item is being copied to the clipboard, but I have to click
on the item in the clipboard for it to paste. Otherwise, it won't work. "Bob I" wrote: If you click Edit, Office Clipboard, do you see anything get copied to it? Rev. You may create another profile/user and try it.

Does the same thing happen with two Word documents? Or Excel and Word?

I can cut/copy and paste between Word and Excel. I can cut/copy and paste
