Default extracting embedded photos...

Greetings, I have some old Excel files that have some embedded photos in them
that I need to put into another program. I was hoping to be able to right
click and then 'save picture as' but of course that doesn't work. How can I
extract or save the image to a file (jpg or gif). After a web search one
person suggested saving the excel file as a web file and one would then be
able to get at the photos but these old spreadsheets have at least one page
password protected and it will not allow me to do so.

Any tips would be appreciated.

have you tried just selecting the picture and control C for copy?
The password protection is not very strong. if you google microsoft
passwrodsa you will find multiple programs to break password protection.
take care in that some have viruses. I have never used any.

Thanks for that. I was able to copy the picture before but could not get it
to appear as a file being the knucklehead that I am. Once I actually opened
a graphics program (ie mspaint) I was able to paste the photo and then save
it as a jpg.
