Default Shadows and printing

I have a sheet where I would like to highlight the areas where other people
are supposted to fill in the cells.

How can I highlight the cells (e.g. with the help af shadows) and still be
able to print without the shadowing?

The reason why, is that not all cells nessecarily will be filled, so I can't
entirely depend on conditional formatting.

Thanks!
