I am frustrated with the long wait time every time I update one cell in my
personal budget containing only 30 odd rows and 52 columns one for every week. It was not so bad those days with Windows 98/2000 etc. Any help? |

For starters, empty your TIF folder.
Empty your Windows Temp folders. Windows OS aside, which version of Excel are you running? See Charles Williams site for pointers on speeding up Excel. http://www.decisionmodels.com/optspeedb.htm Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Sat, 4 Aug 2007 18:30:05 -0700, Wilfred wrote: I am frustrated with the long wait time every time I update one cell in my personal budget containing only 30 odd rows and 52 columns one for every week. Hi, Gord
Thanks for this prompt response to help out. My problem is now sorted! I found out the cause of the problem as some contamination from downloaded data from internet into Excel format. Each cell of the top row was carrying a collapsed empty textbox which could not be removed. I did copy the other rows to a new worksheet and manually input the data in the first row. Why is it impossible to remove those internet contaminations from the excel worksheets? I will also take action as recommended by you.
