I checked previous posts, but I didn't see this question, unlesss I
overlooked it - Is there a way to insert a footer in Excel where the text will go from left to right across the entire page? |

Yes. What's the problem? What stops you doing it?

Just select the center portion of the footer. Set it to center align and
type in your text. Excel will show the text wrapped to fit the space, but don't worry. It will all be on one line (if it will fit on one line) unless you put in line feeds (Enter key). James (P.S., Excel won't add spaces to make the text occupy the entire area between margins as Word will, if that's what you mean.) "Stacia S" wrote in message ... When I go into Headers & Footers, it gives me a drop-down that has different
options and I am not allowed to type into, or there is a header/footer for left, center and right. If I type into the left box, it will only go so far and begin to wrap, it will not allow me to continue to type over to the right margin. "David Biddulph" wrote: Yes. What's the problem? For me (using Excel 2003) text in the left hand box will go right across to
the left hand boundary if required (or the centre box will go right across, or the right hand box will go all the way to the left). -- David Biddulph "Stacia S" wrote in message ...
