Default Pivot fields color format won't stay

This is weired behavior -
I have the backround the spredsheet white boarders
other than that, I format each field and its drop down combobox to a color
(in the Report Filter section), it retains the color when dropped into the
pivot table.

the issue is that many times my format (Report Filter section) will turn
black??
this will also happen when I drag and drop an additional field to (Report
Filter Section)?

thanks for your ideas??
