Default Linking an Excel 2003 document copied to a Word 2003 document

Thanks, Challa. That was a very comprehensive response. I have printed your
instructions out and will now open an Excel and a Word document and apply
your instructions repeatedly until I master the process.

Again, thank you very much.

Microsoft Word Icon.
3. On the Edit menu in the Microsoft Word document, click Paste Special.
The Paste Special dialog is displayed.
4. Click the Paste Link option and choose as Choose Microsoft Excel
Worksheet object.
5. Click Ok to return to the Word document.

7. On the Edit menu, click Link. The Links dialog box appears.

under the Update method for selected link.
9. Click OK to return to Word document. Now when ever you modify the cell in

information.
10. Save the Microsoft Excel Workbook and the active MIcrosoft Word document.

Hi, Everyone.

I have Office 2003. I copied an Excel 2003 document using the button on the
Standard toolbar, and then I opened a Word document and clicked on Paste
Special Paste Link Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet object OK. The
Excel worksheet was successfully transferred, but when I made a change in a
cell of the Excel source document, that change was not reflected in the
corresponding cell in the Excel copy in the Word document. Is it possible to
make a change in the source document and have it reflected in the destination
document? If so, how?

Thank you very much.
