On the "File" menu, select "Open", browse to the chosen file, hit the

Easiest method is to just use a shortcut to that file.

Thanks for your reply. I did not express my question very well.. I am wanting to open a workbook automatically when Microsoft Excel 2003 starts. I have a file called DatsSorting.xls in Book 1 and want it to open automatically. I am a new user with Excel. Try copying the file into your XLSTART folder.
