Default number of columns

I need about 300 columns in a spreadsheet. Is there a way to overcome the
current max of 256?

I do not need all the rows they offer.

But the readability of the application does not allow me to use rows in
stead of columns.

Only with Excel 2007 ; othrwise you are stuck with 256.

hi,

If you are using Microsoft Excel 2003 you cannot overcome the Max 256 columns.
