Default office 97-2003 excel files will not open in excel 2007

it says
windows cannot find.....make sure you typed the name then try again.

Default office 97-2003 excel files will not open in excel 2007

Do you see this error when you double click the file ?

When you open the file in Excel with Office button Open is it working then ?

I have been opening it as an email attachment.

Default office 97-2003 excel files will not open in excel 2007

Do a "Save As" first then try opening it.
