Default Notification failed

In the past 2-3 months -- each time I've chosen to follow a thread by
clicking on the "Notify me on replies" button - I get the message
"Notification Failed - Try later"

What can I do to restore this important feature capability?

TIA,

Jim

To restore it,
Only the gnomes at Microsoft can solve that one!

To fix it,
Switch to a newsreader to access the groups.
