Default email Notification from Excel

I have created a spreadsheet that flags up items that are due a service by a
certain date. The cell then changes to blue when the item is coming close to
its due date and then changes to red if the item is overdue.

Is there a way of linking this info to Outlook to send me an email or notice
when the item is approaching its due date?

Thanks in advance

In the VBA editor (alt F11) make a link to the Microsoft Outlook 11.0
object library and then have a look in the help in "About using e-mail
and Outlook features in Excel "
