Default Converting from Lotus 123 to Excel

When I convert some worksheets from Lotus 123 to Excel, the gridlines do not
display, even though the gridline box is checked. This does not occur with
every worksheet, just a few.

Try removing any Fill color.

Ctrl-A (twice in xl2003) to select all the cells
format|Cells|Patterns|click on the "no color" at the top.
