How do I covert old Lotus 123 files with an .123 extension to Excel?

Excel can't open *.123 files.
If you have 123, you should try saving the file as an Excel file in 123.
If that's not an option, you'll need a commercial converter such as
http://www.dataviz.com/

If you can get them saved down as .wk4 files (Lotus format prior to .123) as
opposed to .123 then Excel can open them directly.
