Default Validation source field size and function.

This seem crazy but the size of the validation source field seems very small
and moving around in the formula without it changing seems impossible.
Normally you can just use the arrow keys but this of course adds or changes
cells.
I've got a feeling I'm missing something.

You can select cells on the worksheet and the resultant range address will
automatically appear in the source field.
Also, to use the arrow keys, press the F2 key first.
