Hi,
I have a excel file, which reads from many other excel files (created and updated by other users). I use Paste Links to read the data I need from the source files but due to 255 character limit the text string gets truncated after 255 characters. Does anyone know a workaround or solution for this? Please let me know. I am still using Excel 2002. Thanks in advance. Regards, Amol |

That's the way excel works when the "sending" workbook is closed.
You can open the workbook and recalc, but if you close that sending workbook, you'll see the problem again. I know when the source file is also open then it will read the entire text but the problem is I have 40-45 source files and its cumbersome to open so many files to view the complete text string. Is there any other way to do this? Please let me know. Regards, Amol |
