Default Summing GETPIVOTDATA

Can I add a sum to a GETPIVOTDATA formula? If my pivot columns are months and
I wish to sum month 7 in 2006 through to month 6 in 2007, what's the best way
to do it. I don't wish to simply sum absolute column addresses - eg: B:D -
as the contents of these column changes as the pivot table expands and
contracts with new data being added. I'd like a sum formula that column
heading specific.
Many thanks
