@ sign not to be treated as an email address
I'm using the @ sign and Excel insists on treating it as an email address,
when I don't want it to. How can I turn this off? |

@ sign not to be treated as an email address
The easiest way thing to do is move your mouse over the cell and click the
arrow for the drop down menu on the lightning icon that appears and tell it to stop automatically creating hyperlinks. Or under the tools tab go to auto correct. select the auto format as you type tab and uncheck the box for "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks". @ sign not to be treated as an email address
I don't know if this works in all versions, but when I had that similar
problem I placed an apostrophe ( ' ) infront of whatever you have. It works for me, but I'm sure that there is a better answer somewhere floating around on this website. Good luck, MikeC "phmanatee" wrote: I'm using the @ sign and Excel insists on treating it as an email address, when I don't want it to. How can I turn this off? |
