Default Saving files in two different formats at the same time

Subject basically says it all. I need to be able to save a file on an ftp
site as well as on a local server at the same time, simply by clicking the
save(ctrl-s) button. How do I go about doing this, or should i just keep
dreaming...

What are the two different formats to save as?

*.xls and *.txt or *.xlt or *.csv"

Which format goes to which site?

Maybe the subject doesn't quite "say it all"
