Edit Button Image in Excel 2007?
In Excel 2000 you could edit the button image assigned to a Macro.
In Excel 2007 I can't seem to edit the button assigned to a macro. Only a fixed number of button images can be assigned it seems. Does anyone know how to edit the button image assigned to a macro in Excel 2007. In addition, can macro buttons only be assigned to the Quick acess toolbar? Thanks for any help. Dennis |

Edit Button Image in Excel 2007?
I've been reading about this in various forums, and it seems that you cannot
do much with these button images, at least through the UI. I've done some nice things using the customUI XML stuff, but that doesn't help anyone who is used to doing it through the UI as in prior Office versions. You can only assign buttons to Excel 2007 through the user interface to the QAT. All of that capability users once had has been taken away. If you read between the lines, Microsoft's attitude seems to be that "It's for your own good, you can't handle UI customizations." - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ wrote in message ... Edit Button Image in Excel 2007?
Thanks Jon.
Is there anyway to add user made icons to the Excel 2007 icon list? How would you assign a Face ID to the macro button like from John walkenbach's Face ID Add-In? Thanks. Thanks for the URL and your work. It looks like I have a lot of work to do to make my excel 2007 macro icon buttons look like my Excel 2000 macro icons!!
