Default converting data into percentages quickly?

hi. i have a list of pupil data in column A. The total number of
pupils in the class is 30 and i wish to convert the data into a
percentage but i have to do this individually for each cell. for
example (in column B)
=15/30
=10/30
=5/30 etc etc.

is there an easier way to do this? thanks all.

Hi

Enter 30 into some free cell, and copy this cell;
Select the range with data you want to convert, and PasteSpecialDivide;
Format the converted range as percentage;
[Clear value 30 entered at start]

if cell your cell are like this

A B
1 15 =A1/30

2 10 =A2/30

3 5 =A3/30

If you enter in B1 =A1/30, all you have to do is copy from:B1 to:B2 and B3.
Excel will automatically change the row number for you.
