Default Cannot select single cell. Mouse move automatically creates range.

Please can anyone help. When I move the mouse, it selects more and more cells
and I can't cancel it.

It's either

1) In EXT mode (Look on the status bar at the bottom and if so, press F8
2) It's a fault with your wheel mouse. Try bashing the wheel a bit. If
that doesn't work, try uninstalling and re-installing the mouse
