I have Windows XP SP2, latest updates, and Office 2003 Professional SP2, also
with latest Office updates. I installed the Japanese XP MUI and Office MUI, and Japanese MUI SP2 update. The interface looks fine. The problem I am having is after typing in say a Japanese name using the 'Hiragana' input in cell A1, and then in another cell, =Phonetic(A1), it responds back with #N/A which is not correct. It should be actual Japanese characters. On a different system with different XP image, but same Service Pack / update level and Office service pack level and exact same Japanese MUI packs, this Phonetic process works fine. I tried reinstalling the entire Japanese MUI packs, and even XP SP2, but nothing. My co-worker had reinstalled Office 2003, and no changes. Any ideas? Thank you, D. |
