Default Insert column with offset

I have an OFFSET set up which is (NAME,0,2). When I insert a new column I
expected the OFFSET to automatically change to (NAME,0,3) but it does not.
Any ideas why?

Try it like this:

=OFFSET(NAME,0,COLUMN(B1))
