Default Advanced Filter - how do you get it to go away

We have been happily using auto filter on a spreadsheet for months. Recently
we noticed that the auto filter wasn't covering the bottom few rows. After a
bit of searching around I found advanced filter which had information in the
"list range" box. The auto filter was only working to the extent of the range
in the advanced filter.
How do I get rid of this range. If I delete it it says reference is not
valid. If I type in a bigger range to cope with growth in the spreadsheet it
does not retain it.
The spreadsheet is used by several users on a network.
I tried copying the data to a new spreadsheet but the problem has just
followed.
Any ideas?

Hi,

There are few possibilities:

1. Clear the list range and Criteria range
text boxes in the Advance Filter diialog box and then click OK

2. If you have defined named ranges, then Clear the list range and Criteria
range
named ranges from the text boxes in the Advance Filter diialog box and then
click OK.

3. In the "Unique Record" checkbox, click to clear the selction.

Note: Show All will work only for AutoFilter.

Hi Challa,

If I try to clear the list range I get a "reference is not valid" message.
ie it will not let me clear the box.

Unique record checkbox and criteria range are blank
