Default count filtered data

I've got a db that is filtered on many criteria. I need a quick way to count
records that are visible after filtering. Right now, all the COUNT/FILTER
formulas I try include data from hidden rows/columns. I think this is easy, I
just can't get it to work...

Have a look at the Subtotal function.
