When exporting from Quick Books to Excel the new 2007 version generates file
sizes of 2+MB for the same reports and data the would produce file size of about 50KB in previous versions of Excel. It seems that regardless of content exported Excel 2007 creates 65,000 lines for each worksheet. Is there a selection in Excel 2007 that would prevent this excess space being created? -- Andy |

It must be the way it imports QuickBooks specifically, you can reset Excels used range like so http://www.nickhodge.co.uk/tipstrick.htm This should shrink the file. (In fact Excel 2007's file formats are zip files so should be smaller than 2003). If this is too painful, try exporting to text from QuickBooks (if possible) and importing that -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England DTHIS www.nickhodge.co.uk "Andy Payne" wrote in message ...
