Default modify buttons on QAT

There are a number of buttons available to assign to macros that you
can add to the toolbar- but is there a way to customize the buttons
themselves.

I thought I remembered that in earlier versions there was a paint-like
program that let you play with pixels to create custom buttons

I believe you can only use the provided icons, which fits into the
philosophy that the user shouldn't be given too many privileges in the new
interface.
