What does it mean to record the macro with relative addressing switched on?
And how can I switch it on.

Thanks

When you record a macro normally it will record the cell references by their
address. When recorded with relative referencing then it will record how you
moved relative to some starting point.

To switch it on when you start recording a macro the Stop Recording tool bar
should come up (if not then repy back and we can get it back on for you).
There are 2 buttons on the bar. The first is Stop (Blue Square). The second
is for Relative Referencing. Click this button and the macro will record with
relative references...

Hi Liz

Start to record a new Macro with
ToolsMacroRecord New MacroOK then click
ViewToolbarsclick on Stop Recording

The floating toolbar will appear.
Use the Blue Stop button to stop recording, not the black X at the top
right of the bar, otherwise it will disappear again.

I can't find the toolbar for stop recording. I use to get it on my screen
the movement I click on Recording new macro but I don't see it no more. How
can I bring it back on my screen as toolbar.

Thanks
Liz

ToolsCustomizeToolbars.

Select the Stop Recording Toolbar and OK your way out.

Follow Jim's advice from that point.
