I have a user with a very strange problem. One day she opened a workbook (one
that other people have access to and use) and the workbook colors were all different - changed to strange pastel colors on the background and on the fonts, making it very hard to read. Not only were the colors that she used in the workbook different, but the color pallet had changed. I tried to reset the colors by going to the Tools, Options menu to reset them, but nothing happens. I tried to open a different workbook to copy the color pallet, but any time you have the "broken" workbook open in addition to a new workbook (or even an existing one with a good color pallet), the new workbook shows up as having the altered colors. If you close Excel completely and open a new workbook, the color pallet looks normal. But then as soon as you open the "broken" workbook again, the color pallet for all workbooks change. If I open the "broken" workbook on a different machine, I am able to reset the colors. I'm going to try to send her the workbook with the updated colors to see what it looks like on her machine, but why can't she update them? This is driving me crazy!! |
