Default Using formulas to select cells (Ex: Select every nth cell in a col

Subject just about says it. I am trying to create a complex workbook that
will keep track of customers for my small business. I just need to be able
to put formulas in place of the number in a cell location.
f(x) being any standard Excel formula, I need D*f(x)* instead of just
D*constant* if that makes any sense.
