I need to be able to set dates without any formatting. Each date has it's
own formatting within the same page. I have one date for ex: is March 3,
2007 and the next one is just March 2006. I don't seem to be able to set the
latter, even if I change the formatting to general. Anyone? Thanks

If you're not going to do any other calculations based on those dates, you could

#1. Preformat the cell as Text, then type the string you want
#2. Begin your entry with an apostrophe 'March 2006

But if you're going to use those cells as dates later on, you'll be better
served to enter them as dates and format them the way you like.
