Default invoice toolbar for invoice calcuation and assign number

Our office has upgraded the Microsoft Office package from 2000 to 2003.
I had an Excel Invoice Template prior to the upgrade, when I used the
Template for creating a new invoice (new file), there was an Invoice Toolbar
popping up in order for me to assign a next serial number. However after the
upgrade, the invoice toolbar is not there when I open the Template ???
Please help where can I pull the Invoice Toolbar and add it on in my
computer ?

thanks
Karen

I think you lost your personal.xls file which did some initializattion before
excel was started.
Usually when a new version of office is installed they will change Offfice10
to office11

from
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11

Frist check which version(s) of office existts on your machine.
then search the directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office for the file
personal.xls. If it exists the copy it from the older version of office to
the new version of offfice.

I'm not sure if this works with xl2003, but you could try it:

or

I found it and copied it as what you said, it's not working either.

Actually I saved all my macros in this personal.xls
The Add-in "Invoice" tool box not there, when I open the Template, the
little tool-box not popping up. In other words, I couldn't work on the
Temp-plate because I couldn't find a way to assign a number for my shipping
invoice being assigned by the system and stored in the data-base.
What shall I do now? please help

I don't know whether I need to install all those .xla file from "Library" in
the link you supplied.
I couldn't open Tmpltnum.xla and Wztemplt.xla and I could open Invdb.xls.
Instead of opening it, I changed the from .xls into .xla.

Now, I open my Template Invoice file (created in Excel 2000), there is no
pop up box for me to assign a number.
I had parked the above-mentioned 3 in the Office11 - Library , also tried in
the Add-ins.

What else I should do? Thanks, Dave.

I've been searching google to find tips to help. Everything I've read sounds
like you can just copy the files into your addin folder.

I've never used this and I'm not sure what the popup box is.

Maybe you can find something on google????

Default invoice toolbar for invoice calcuation and assign number

There are a few people who are unavailable this week who have used the invoice
stuff. You'll find their names a lot in your google search.

If you don't find a solution, you may want to wait a couple of days and repost
your question. Include all the stuff you've tried.

Maybe one of them will read your message and give you the solution.

(I'm afraid that this thread is gonna get ignored when they're available again.)

Default invoice toolbar for invoice calcuation and assign number

Karen

Do you still have the original INVOICE.XLT file that you used with Excel 2000 or
a workbook created with it?

I think I can help you get the Invoice Numbering Toolbar back but I will have to
do a bit of code-altering.

Change the AT and DOT in my email address to appropriate puctuation and send me
a file I can work on(preferably a copy of the original INVOICE.XLT Template) but
if not, one of the invoices you created.

At the very least I will get you a button that assigns a sequential number to
the invoice.

I will send the file back with a description of what I have done.

Default Yunnan Cuisine ;Beijing Nightlife ;Air Confirmation and Ticket Validity

Yunnan Cuisine

Tucked away in southwest China, Yunna borders Burma, Laos and Vietnam. The
cuisine of the province may not be very well known, but the area does
produce some very famous raw materials.

Flavorsome Yunnan ham, salted and air-dried, is much loved throughout China
and often used to flavor soups. Pu'er tea, dark and earthy, is highly
regarded and valued; often sold molded into flat cakes, aged teas command
high prices. The area is also famous for a huge range of wild mushrooms.
Some of their names are wonderfully evocative and exotic -- sheep's stomach,
monkey head, chicken fungus.

Try the fresh goat's milk cheese that is served fried. It is mild and bears
some resemblance to mozzarella.

The most popular Yunnanese dish goes by the quaint name of 'crossing the
bridge noodles'. The name has its origins in a popular tale. It is said that
a scholar retired to an island pavilion in the middle of a lake and his wife
had to devise a way to keep hot the meals she took him. A big bowl of fine
rice noodles in broth is kept hot by a thick layer of chicken fat. The
liquid is so hot that when you slide thin slices of meat, fish, bean curd
and vegetables into the bowl, they are instantly cooked.

Air Confirmation and Ticket Validity
Confirmation: If you have reserved a seat to continue your flight in China,
or for a return journey on an international or regional flight, you should
reconfirm its reservation at least 72 hours before departure if you'll stop
over at the boarding place for longer than 72 hours. Or else the seat shall
be automatically cancelled. No confirmation is necessary if you stop over at

Default invoice toolbar for invoice calcuation and assign number

Karen

Not yet received.

My email address for the the purposes of this news group posting is

gorddibbATshawDOTca

Change the AT and DOT to punctuation.

Notes on the invoice template.

The Sales Invoice Template that comes packaged with Excel 2002 and 2003 is not
the same as the INVOICE.XLT packaged with earlier versions of Excel and does not
have the VBA code that the older version has.

You can use the earlier version and still retain the functionality if you have
the TMPLTNUM.XLA add-in.

I've been searching google to find tips to help. Everything I've read sounds
like you can just copy the files into your addin folder.

I've never used this and I'm not sure what the popup box is.

Maybe you can find something on google????

I don't know whether I need to install all those .xla file from "Library" in
the link you supplied.
I couldn't open Tmpltnum.xla and Wztemplt.xla and I could open Invdb.xls.
Instead of opening it, I changed the from .xls into .xla.

Now, I open my Template Invoice file (created in Excel 2000), there is no
pop up box for me to assign a number.
I had parked the above-mentioned 3 in the Office11 - Library , also tried in
the Add-ins.

What else I should do? Thanks, Dave.

Hi Dave,
I followed the isntruction written in link of LOADING ADD-INS and downloaed
those .xla files.
Those .xla became .xls files - I couldn'd install to my Add-Ins.
I tried to see what's wrong in my downloading but couldn't see what I had
done wrong.
It doesn't allow me to save as .xla file at all.
why ? please help.
sorry for all these troubles....

Please help where can I pull the Invoice Toolbar and add it on in my
computer ?

thanks
Karen

Default invoice toolbar for invoice calcuation and assign number

Hi, Gord
I have added the TMPLTNUM.XLA in add-in after reading in your website.
Apparently, I might have done it wrong. it still didn't work.
I will send the file again, the mail was rejected due to the wrong address,
sorry.
I hope you do receive it this time, I really really appreciate for this.
thanks
