Some years ago I set up a spreadsheet with cetain 'unprotected' cells, and
was able to set it up such that the user automatically moved from unprotected cell to the next unprotected cell after entering data and then pressing Enter. ie they couldn't even place the cursor on a protected cell. Unfortunately I can't find how to do this now. Any ideas please? -- Dave P |

Select...
ToolsProtectionProtect Sheet Uncheck the item that says 'Select Locked Cells'. Make sure the the item that says 'Select unlocked Cells' is checked. Assuming XL 2002 or better when you protect the sheet these is a dialog box
specifying the protection details. The first 2 items are Select locked cells and Select Unlocked Cells. Uncheck the first item which will disable the useres ability to select locked cells... -- HTH... Obviously I had seen that screen as well when I turned the protection on!
