Default dynamic XY chart names

Hello to all -my first post here.

I'm stymied trying to get the "Names" field on a Scatter (XY) chart to
be the parsed values of a dynamic column of Excel List data . I.E. I'm
doing an XY scatter chart of an Excel List that dynamically changes by
the whatever List "filter" the user selects.

What I want is the Chart legend to display each of the current column
List/filtered values displayed as separate legend names each with its
own marker plot - dynamically as the user selects dif filter values.

Now I'm getting all of the column values (even those not actively
displayed) with only one marker type for all of them - I need each
dynamic Column List value to display individual markers ONLY for the
currently displayed column List values.

I know the descripion above is complicated -how can I post an actual
test file that hopefully will make this question more clear?

Thx!
