Default columns showing numbers instead of alphabets

Hi all. In my excel sheet, all the columns are showing numbers instead of
alphabets, eg 1,2,3... instead of A,B,C... Why is this so? How can i change
them back to show alphabets? Thks in advance.

Try this:

From the Excel main menu:
<tools<options<general tab
UNcheck: R1C1 Reference style

Does that help?
