Calculating Square Footage in Excel
1. Create a new spreadsheet in Excel and label the columns as "Length", "Width", and "Area". 2. In the "Length" and "Width" columns, enter the measurements for each room in feet and inches. For example, if a room is 12 feet and 6 inches long, enter "12'6" in the cell. 3. To convert the feet and inches to decimal format, use the following formula: Formula:
