Default How do I split a single cell in two?

You'll have to give us a bit more information before we can think of how to
help you. What information is contained within the cell? Why do you need /
want to split it? How do you want to split it? The more information you
cane give (within reason) the better help you may get!

Regards.

i know how to merge two cells so that i have one long cell and below two
normal cell but i would like to split one cell evenly verticaly this is
because i would like 10 cells on the bottom row and 5 cells above it without
merging two normal cells as it would mean messing up the rest of the sheet

You can't split cells in the manner you describe. You can only un-merge
merged cells.
