It sounds more like the worksheet is protected.
Tools|Protection|Unprotect sheet may help. When a file is readonly, you can make as many changes as you want--including autosum, but you can't save the file using that name. (You can save as a different name, though.) Cathy wrote: I use Excel 2000. My boss just got me a new computer. I can still access my Excel files since I was saving them to the network. Now however, I can open them but the auto sum and other functions do not work. Is there a way I can fix this so that I can make changes to the worksheets? -- Thanks! Cathy -- Dave Peterson |
