Or, format as Special, and type in as many zeros as you want characters.

Is there any advantage to formatting as special over formatting as text?

Excel Numbers
Specially formatted numbers remain numbers and can be directly used in
calculations. Text has to be first converted to a number before calculating. -- Ted |
