Default excel files open in internet explorer??

All of the sudden when I access excel files on my company's intranet, the
files open in Internet Explorer, not Excel. Is this a setting in Excel that
can be changed?

Nope.

But there's a Windows setting you can change.

Any idea how to set this folder options via asp.net code. I'm using IE6, MS
Office 2003. A webpage is accessed by many people, all are facing this issue.
