Default How do I change standard currency on excel toolbar?

Atteh moment if I press the currency button on the standard Excel toolbar it
gives me dollars ($) which I want to change to sterling (£)

Change your Windows/Regional Settings/Language to UK English!

Note: this is a workbook-only setting.

To get a global setting, change your Regional Options in Windows Control Panel.
