Anytime you try to open two workbooks at the same time your options will be
limited, so if you mean can you save multiple views. Not that I am aware for windows, although you can say views of filters, etc -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England DTHIS www.nickhodge.co.uk "hmm" wrote in message ... Suppose I save a workspace, with the multiple windows and whatever else. After defining it, I continue to work on the same workbook. Now I want to recall the saved workspace. If I try, Excel will tell me it cannot open two workbooks with the same name. Therefore, I must close the workbook every time I want to see it from a different workspace perspective. This constant closing and re-opening is what I am trying to avoid, if there is any way possible. "Nick Hodge" wrote: Does it not just open the way you close it? Yes, that is what I am doing; yes, it is what I need. But if the workbook is already open, I must close it before opening the workspace. I was looking to avoid that inconvenience, if possible. Is that not what you need? -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England DTHIS www.nickhodge.co.uk "hmm" wrote in message ... Thanks Nick. There is problem with recalling a workspace: instead of rearranging the open workbook, Excel tells me it can't open two documents with the same name. I have to close the workbook just to view it the way I want! I was hoping for a better solution; I guess this is it, unless you know a way around this problem. I view my worksheet in two tiled windows, and save the view. When I recall the view, I only get one of the windows back. How do I save a view to recall all the windows? |
