Closed Macros still visible
Hi guys,
Is anyone aware of an update that has changed the way files can be seen in the Project Explorer portion of the VBA Editor window? Something has changed in the last few weeks and now I can see the VBA for workbooks that are actually closed within Excel. This proving to be a real pain as over the course of the day I could end up with 20 files showing - 19 of which are closed! Closing and re-opening the VBA editor does not clear the list, only closing Excel clears it. Any ideas anyone? Cheers Giz |

It's a problem that's been posted lots of times. I've only seen it a few times
and when I did see it didn't cause any problems (except for irritation on my part). Some have guessed that an early version of Google Desktop search caused it. Others have seen it without having that program installed. If it really irritates you, then you've found the only solution that I've seen--close excel and restart. Cheers Dave,
At least it's not just my system, wonder if Microsoft will ever put it right? My biggest issue is that memory is retained for these 'ghost' files so I keep running into 'Insufficient Memory' problems. Giz "Dave Peterson" wrote: It's a problem that's been posted lots of times.
