Open method 1 = drag the file into an open excel worksheet. Open method 2 = in excel go to file open and then open the file. method 2 displays more rows Does anyone know why this happens? thanks for youir help |

Open .txt file in excel
Not knowing anything about the file, I am not going to get involved in the
why and wherefore. I suggest you rename the file to a .csv, or a .txt, and then open it from Excel. This will invoke the import wizard, and you can then set your fields as you wish, and get all the data from the file into Excel. -- Hth Kassie Kasselman "Jeff" wrote: Hi, I have a text file.
