Hi, precious help... at least I saw the little box now...
When I do the Save as option, the dialog box has a button called 'Tools' on the lower left corner. That wasn't there in Excel 2003. If I click there and then choose 'General Options' I can put the password to open the file. Regards ;) -- Carlos Alberto Eusébio Correia "danielocope" wrote: Have you used the save as options? I,m not running 2007 but in all other Excel 2003 you protect workbook from open with password from the "save As" / "Tools" / "General", encryption options in 2003 but I don't know it all that changed in 2007! Let me know if this helpe or not please. Dan "Carlos Correia" wrote: Thanks for the post, But the only options that I get a Protect Sheet... Lock Cells... That way I can't protect the workbook from being opened from a person without knowing the password. The thing is, I want to prevent the workbook to be seen from another peorson without knowing the password to open the workbook... where can I find that option on Excel 2007? Click the Formt dropdown, and you will see Protection at the foot of that menu. -- --- HTH Bob (change the xxxx to gmail if mailing direct) "Carlos Correia" wrote in message ...
