There is an excel template available from the microsoft office at

This download template has a feature on it (above row A) that allows
expansion and collapse of hidden columns using '+' and '-' buttons. Can
anyone please enlighten me as to what this feature is referred to and the
process used to create and eliminate this in other spreadsheets?
