Default How to share a source in "Validation" formula

I try to set up some templates to let different users use a same list. Is it
a way I could set up a master file, then I use "validation" to use the same
sources from different files, this way we only need to update master file,
all other files will auto updated from master file.

If you give the source list range a name you can use a different sheet or
workbook as the DV list source.

See Debra Dalgleish's site for how-tos.

NOTE: the workbook must be open.
