How to share a source in "Validation" formula
I try to set up some templates to let different users use a same list. Is it
a way I could set up a master file, then I use "validation" to use the same sources from different files, this way we only need to update master file, all other files will auto updated from master file. |

If you give the source list range a name you can use a different sheet or workbook as the DV list source. See Debra Dalgleish's site for how-tos. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal05.html NOTE: the workbook must be open.
