Default Type Ahead within an excel dropdown

When selecting choices from a dropdown list, is there a way to provide type
ahead (i.e. searches the list based on user's entry in the cell)? Thanks

If your drop-down list if from Data Validation, you cannot have Autocomplete.

Try a combo-box drop-down list.

Debra Dalgleish has instructions.
